Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
- Stir in the flour, chocolate chips, chopped nuts, and vanilla extract until well combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving enough space between each cookie.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cookies are golden around the edges.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For chewier cookies, slightly underbake and let them cool on the baking sheet. Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
