Ingredients
  

For the patties

  • 2 pounds ground beef, 80/20 Use freshly ground beef for the juiciest burgers.
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste Adjust seasoning based on preference.
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil For cooking the patties.
  • 6 slices American cheese Feel free to experiment with different cheeses.

For the sauce

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons dill pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

For serving

  • Brioche hamburger buns Soft and perfect for the burgers.
  • Romaine or shredded lettuce For freshness.
  • Sliced tomato Top the burger for a fresh crunch.
  • Sliced red onion Add to taste.
  • Dill pickle chips For added flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine beef, salt, and pepper. Form into 6 patties.

Cooking

  • Heat canola oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook patties for 3 to 5 minutes per side, adding cheese on top during the last minute of cooking.

Sauce Preparation

  • In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, dill pickle relish, and Dijon mustard.

Assembly

  • Serve patties in buns with the sauce and desired toppings.

Notes

For the best experience, serve the cheeseburgers hot off the skillet. Pair with crispy fries or a fresh salad for a complete meal. If you have leftovers, let the patties cool down and store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can reheat them in a skillet or microwave.
