  • 1 pound ground beef Use ground turkey for a healthier option.
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar works well.
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and diced onion. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are soft, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and season with salt and pepper to your liking.

Assembly

  • In a baking dish, spread the beef mixture evenly across the bottom.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the beef layer.
  • Arrange the frozen tater tots over the cheese evenly.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy on top.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Tater Tot Casserole can be served with sour cream or sliced green onions. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes.
