For the Steak and Vegetables
- 1.5 pounds Sirloin steak or flank steak Cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 large Bell peppers Any color, cut into chunks
- 1 large Red onion Peeled and cut into chunks
- Wooden or metal skewers
For the Marinade
- 0.25 cup Soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Lemon juice Freshly squeezed
- 2 cloves Garlic Minced
- 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
- 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
- 0.5 teaspoon Salt Or to taste
Step 1: Cut the steak into 1-inch cubes. Slice the bell pepper and red onion into large chunks.
Step 2: In a bowl, whisk soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add the steak and toss to coat. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Step 3: If using wooden skewers, soak them for 30 minutes. Thread the steak, peppers, and onions onto the skewers.
Step 4: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
Step 5: Grill the kabobs for 8 to 10 minutes, turning often, until steak reaches desired doneness. Internal temperature should be at least 130°F for medium-rare.
Step 6: Remove the kabobs from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
If you don’t have a grill, you can cook these steak kabobs in the oven at 425°F for 12 to 15 minutes, turning halfway through.
