Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless pork chops
  • ¾ cup heavy cream Can substitute with half-and-half or whole milk.
  • ½ cup chicken broth Vegetable broth can be used as a vegetarian option.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Divided into two portions.
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic Fresh garlic recommended for the best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • for garnish fresh parsley

Instructions

Preparation

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the pork chops with salt and black pepper.
  • Cook the pork chops for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are nicely browned. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter and sauté the minced garlic for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  • Add the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  • Stir in the flour, garlic powder, and lemon juice. Gradually pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly.
  • Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer, allowing it to thicken for about 2-3 minutes.

Combine and Finish

  • Return the pork chops to the skillet, coating them well in the creamy sauce.
  • Let them cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
  • Stir in the remaining tablespoon of butter and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve immediately with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over low heat or in the microwave, being careful not to overcook the pork.
