Shrimp Reheating Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon butter Use unsalted for better control over seasoning.
  • 1-2 tablespoons water or broth Helps keep shrimp moist.
  • to taste lemon juice Adds flavor; can adjust per preference.
  • as needed leftover pre-cooked shrimp Reheat as many as desired.

Method
 

Pan Method
  1. Heat butter in a nonstick pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add shrimp and toss in the butter.
  3. Lower heat to medium, add a little water or broth, cover for about 60 seconds to steam.
  4. Remove lid, add a splash of lemon juice, and serve.
Oven Method
  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Place shrimp on a baking sheet in a single layer. Dot with a little butter or oil and a splash of broth or water.
  3. Cover with foil and heat for 5–10 minutes until warm.
  4. Finish with lemon juice before serving.
Microwave Method
  1. Put shrimp in a microwave-safe dish. Add 1–2 teaspoons of water or broth and a small pat of butter.
  2. Cover with a microwave-safe lid or plate.
  3. Heat on medium power in 20–30 second bursts, stirring between bursts, until warm.
  4. Add lemon juice before serving.

Notes

Serve shrimp hot on top of rice, pasta, salad, or with bread. Add more lemon or a sprinkle of fresh herbs. A small dip of garlic butter or cocktail sauce works well. Cool shrimp quickly and store in an airtight container for up to 2 days in the fridge.
