  • 1 cup Flour Whole wheat or almond flour can be used for a healthier twist.
  • 2 pieces Eggs For vegan option, consider flaxseed meal or applesauce as substitutes.
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream the sugar and softened butter until it’s fluffy and light.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool in the dish for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature with whipped cream, fresh fruits, or a scoop of ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week. Can be frozen for up to 2 months.
