This creamy, garlicky skillet chicken is legendary for a reason — with sun-dried tomatoes, parmesan, and herbs in a luscious sauce, it's a dish so good, it just might inspire a proposal!
Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken breasts until golden brown, about 4–5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits.
Stir in heavy cream, sun-dried tomatoes, parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened slightly.
Return the chicken to the pan and simmer for 5–7 minutes, or until cooked through and sauce thickens.
Remove from heat, garnish with chopped basil, and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use chicken thighs for extra juiciness. Pair with mashed potatoes, pasta, or rice. Leftovers taste even better the next day!
