  • 2 cups crunchy slaw mix of cabbage, carrots, etc.
  • ¼ cup fresh herbs such as cilantro and green onions
  • 2 tablespoons mayo or gochujang for drizzling on top

  • Prepare your bao buns according to the package instructions or make them from scratch and steam until light and fluffy.
  • Fry or cook chicken pieces until crispy, using a deep fryer or skillet with oil over medium-high heat. Ensure they are cooked through and golden brown.
  • Toss the crispy chicken in the spicy-sweet Korean sauce until well-coated.
  • Open steamed bao buns carefully and place a generous amount of the saucy chicken inside each bun.
  • Top the chicken with crunchy slaw and sprinkle with fresh herbs. Drizzle with mayo or gochujang.
  • Serve the bao buns warm and enjoy.

Notes

Ensure oil is hot enough for crispy chicken. Steam bao buns correctly for the right texture. Avoid overcrowding during frying to maintain oil temperature.
