  • ½ teaspoon 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided Can experiment with other spices like nutmeg or ginger.
  • 3 tablespoons 3 tablespoons granulated sugar for topping

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Grease or line an 8 by 8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until well combined.
  • Add the egg, honey, and vanilla extract, then whisk until everything is smooth.
  • Stir in the flour, salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Mix until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  • In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar with the remaining 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture over the batter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 22 to 25 minutes. Check doneness with a toothpick.
  • Let the blondies cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares.

Notes

These blondies are best enjoyed fresh. Pair with vanilla ice cream or drizzle with extra honey for indulgence. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week. They can be frozen for up to 3 months.
