  • ΒΌ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter Can substitute with almond butter or sunflower seed butter for allergies.
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup Use maple syrup for a vegan option.
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar Apple cider vinegar can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder Or a mix of cinnamon, star anise, and cloves.
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha or hot sauce Optional, adjust to taste.

Preparation

  • Gather all the ingredients before you start.
  • In a medium-sized bowl, blend the soy sauce, peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, Chinese five-spice powder, and sriracha (if using).
  • Whisk everything together until the sauce is smooth and well-combined. Taste and adjust flavors as needed.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. No reheating required, just stir if it separates.
