  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.
  • 1 tsp dried thyme Herb for added flavor.
  • 1 tsp paprika Adds a slight smokiness.

Preparation

  • In your slow cooker, add the beef stew meat, minced garlic, beef broth, and butter.

Add Vegetables and Seasonings

  • Throw in the diced potatoes along with salt, pepper, dried thyme, and paprika. Season to taste.

Mix and Cook

  • Stir all the ingredients together, ensuring everything is coated evenly. Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the beef is tender and the potatoes are cooked through.

Notes

For the best results, use a good cut of beef and keep the lid on as much as possible during cooking. If too watery, remove the lid for the last hour to thicken up.
