  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, plus about 1/4 cup extra for kneading
  • 1 cup 0% Greek yogurt Use 0% Greek yogurt for the best texture.
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 egg whisked Used for egg wash.
  • to taste Everything but the bagel seasoning For topping.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add the Greek yogurt and mix with your hands until a dough forms. Add flour as needed if sticky.
  • Transfer to a floured surface and knead for about 2 minutes until smooth.
  • Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each into a strand and form into a bagel shape by pinching the ends together.
  • Place bagels on the prepared baking sheet. Brush tops with whisked egg and sprinkle with seasoning.

Baking

  • Bake for 18-22 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

You can enjoy Greek Yogurt Bagels warm, topped with cream cheese, avocado, or smoked salmon. Store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
