Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces Any tender cut of beef will work well.
  • 1 lb baby potatoes, halved Can be substituted with sweet potatoes or cauliflower for lower carbs.
  • 4 tbsp butter Use unsalted for better control over seasoning.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Enhances the flavor of the dish.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Freshly ground pepper is recommended.
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) Adds freshness to the dish.

Method

Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the halved baby potatoes to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the potatoes are golden and tender, about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Once the potatoes are cooked, remove them from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, then add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Next, add the bite-sized steak pieces to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, and cook until the steak is browned and cooked to your desired doneness, about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Return the cooked potatoes to the skillet with the steak and garlic. Stir to combine everything, allowing the flavors to meld, and heat through.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving hot.

Notes

To ensure your steak bites come out tender, don’t overcook them; aim for medium-rare to medium. Let the steak rest for a few minutes after cooking for maximum juiciness.
