Ingredients

For the Dough and Filling

  • 1 package crescent roll dough
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled sausage or bacon (optional)
  • 1 cup diced vegetables (like bell peppers, onions, or spinach)
  • 1 large egg (for egg wash)
  • Spices (like garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper) to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) so it is ready when you’re done preparing the ring.
  • Roll out the crescent dough on a baking sheet, forming a circular shape with the center left open.
  • In a bowl, mix together the shredded cheese, cooked sausage or bacon (if using), diced vegetables, and your chosen spices.
  • Spoon the cheese mixture around the outer edge of the dough, ensuring not to overfill.
  • Carefully fold the dough over the filling, pinching it together to seal the edges.
  • Beat the egg and brush it over the dough to add a golden color.
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Let the ring cool slightly, then slice it into sections and serve warm.

Notes

The Friendsgiving Ring is best served warm. Pair it with marinara sauce or spicy mustard for dipping. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. To reheat, place it in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
