For the dip

  • 8 oz Cream cheese Room temperature for easier mixing
  • ½ cup Sour cream Can be substituted with plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Fresh herbs (e.g., dill or chives) Adjust according to taste
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice Can substitute with vinegar if needed
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • to taste tbsp Seasoning (e.g., salt and pepper) Taste as you go to avoid overpowering flavors

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and sour cream. Mix them until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • Add the fresh herbs, lemon juice, and garlic powder to the bowl. Stir everything together until the herbs are evenly distributed.
  • Season the dip with salt and pepper to taste. Start with a small amount and add more if necessary.
  • Chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to help the flavors meld together.
  • After chilling, give it a quick stir and serve with your favorite crackers or fresh vegetables.

Notes

Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature before mixing. If the dip is too thick, thin it with a little more sour cream or a splash of milk. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
