  • 1 cup cooked rice Use fluffy rice for best texture.
  • 1 cup chopped vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, peas) Feel free to use your preferred vegetables.
  • 1 cup cooked protein (chicken, tofu, or beans) Choose protein according to dietary preferences.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Use gluten-free soy sauce if preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For sautéing.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adds flavor to the dish.
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced For a fresh flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.

Optional Toppings

  • to taste green onions Chopped, for garnish.
  • to taste sesame seeds For added flavor and texture.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook the rice according to the package instructions. Set it aside once done.
  • In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and cook for about a minute until fragrant.
  • Toss in the chopped vegetables and cook for an additional 3 to 5 minutes until they are tender.

Cooking

  • Add in your cooked protein of choice and stir for a minute or two until heated through.
  • Add the cooked rice to the pan, pour in the soy sauce, and stir everything together until the rice is well coated with flavors. Cook for about 5 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  • Remove from heat, let it sit for a minute before serving. Top with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Make sure your pan is hot enough to achieve a good sautéed texture for the vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
