Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with butter or oil, or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, use a fork to mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
- Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until everything is evenly blended.
Baking
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and gently stir.
- Add the flour and fold it in just until combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
