Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

For Cooking

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, combine the milk, egg, and melted butter.

Cooking

  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined (do not overmix).
  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and grease it with cooking spray or butter.
  • Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet.
  • Cook until bubbles form on the surface and edges appear set, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Serve warm with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Do not overmix the batter; small lumps are fine. Use medium heat so pancakes cook through without burning. Let batter rest 5 minutes for better texture. Use a measuring cup to pour equal pancakes.
