Ingredients
  

For the Marinade

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into strips
  • ΒΌ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch to thicken the sauce

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pieces bell peppers, sliced (any color)
  • 1 piece onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for cooking
  • Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch to make a marinade. Add the beef strips and let marinate for 15 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add the marinated beef to the pan and stir-fry until browned. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add the garlic, onion, and bell peppers. Stir-fry until softened.
  • Return the beef to the pan, mix everything well, and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  • Serve the pepper steak hot over steamed white rice or your favorite noodles, garnished with green onion or sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

Let the dish cool to room temperature before storing. Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently.
