Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash the sweet potatoes thoroughly and pierce them several times with a fork.
Baking
  1. Place the pierced sweet potatoes on a baking sheet and bake for about 45-60 minutes, or until tender.
Cinnamon Butter Preparation
  1. While the sweet potatoes are baking, melt the butter in a small bowl and stir in the ground cinnamon and brown sugar (if using). Mix well.
Serving
  1. Once sweet potatoes are done baking, carefully cut them open, drizzle the cinnamon butter mixture over, and sprinkle with salt. Serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. Reheat in the microwave or in the oven at 350°F (175°C).
