Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup of sugar. Stir until well blended.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to create an even crust.
Cheesecake Filling
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until fully incorporated.
Combine Ingredients
- Fold in the diced apples and cinnamon into the cheesecake mixture gently to combine.
- Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust layer in the pan.
- Drizzle the caramel sauce on top and use a knife to swirl it into the batter lightly.
Baking
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the filling is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
- Let the bars cool completely at room temperature.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars to help them set further.
Notes
Make sure the cream cheese is softened for easy mixing. Check the bars around the 30-minute mark to avoid a rubbery texture. Allow the bars to cool fully before cutting them for clean squares.
