Preparation
- Cook your pasta according to the package instructions. Be sure to salt the water for flavor. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken breast and season it with Cajun seasoning. Cook until the chicken is browned and fully cooked, which should take about 5-7 minutes. Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic, diced onion, and bell pepper. Sauté these ingredients until they become soft, usually around 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in the cream and bring it to a simmer. After a minute, add the cooked chicken back into the skillet.
- Mix in the cooked pasta and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated in the creamy sauce.
- Serve your Cajun Chicken Pasta hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
To keep the chicken from burning, cook over medium heat. The sauce should simmer gently and not boil vigorously to avoid curdling. Serve immediately with a side salad or garlic bread.
