For the Crust

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, heat the honey over medium heat until it turns a deep amber color, about 5-8 minutes, then cool slightly.
Mixing the Filling
  1. In a bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  2. Slowly whisk in the cooled honey to blend everything together.
Assembling and Baking
  1. Pour the honey mixture into the pre-made pie crust.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes until the filling is set but slightly jiggly in the center.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Allow the pie to cool completely at room temperature.
  2. Once cool, sprinkle a little sea salt on top.
  3. Slice and serve your Burnt Honey Pie.

Notes

Keep an eye on the honey as it heats to avoid burning. A slightly jiggly center is normal; it will set as it cools. Avoid over-baking to prevent a tough texture.
