Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • 4 cups shredded iceberg lettuce $1.50
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved) $2.00
  • 1 cup sliced cucumbers $1.00

Protein

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio) $6.00
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

Toppings

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese $1.50
  • 4 slices cooked bacon (crumbled) $2.50
  • 1 each avocado (sliced) $1.50

Sauce

  • ½ cup mayonnaise $1.00
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon pickle juice (optional)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Wash and prep the vegetables. Spread the shredded iceberg lettuce evenly across four bowls. Top each bowl with halved cherry tomatoes and sliced cucumbers.

Cooking the Protein

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until fully browned, about 7–8 minutes. Divide the beef evenly among the bowls.

Adding Toppings

  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and sliced avocado over the beef and vegetables in each bowl.

Making the Sauce

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, and optional pickle juice. Drizzle the sauce over the assembled bowls.

Serving

  • Serve immediately for the freshest flavor, optionally garnished with parsley or chives.

Notes

Customize the toppings to suit everyone's taste. A well-balanced bowl should have a mixture of textures and flavors—crunchy veggies, creamy avocado, and savory beef. Avoid overloading the bowls to prevent mess.
