  • 3 pieces ripe pears (Bosc or Bartlett), halved and cored Choose ripe pears for the best flavor and tenderness.
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 cup mixed berries (such as blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries) Feel free to experiment with different berries.
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped For a nut-free version, leave out the walnuts.
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese, crumbled You can swap for goat cheese if desired.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the halved pears in a baking dish, cut side up.
  3. Drizzle the melted butter and honey over the pears.
  4. Scatter the mixed berries and chopped walnuts around and on top of the pears.
  5. Sprinkle the crumbled blue cheese over the pears.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pears are tender.
Serving
  1. Serve warm as a dessert or side dish, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C).
