  • 3 pieces ripe pears (Bosc or Bartlett), halved and cored Choose ripe pears for the best flavor and tenderness.
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 cup mixed berries (such as blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries) Feel free to experiment with different berries.
  • ½ cup walnuts, chopped For a nut-free version, leave out the walnuts.
  • ¼ cup blue cheese, crumbled You can swap for goat cheese if desired.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place the halved pears in a baking dish, cut side up.
  • Drizzle the melted butter and honey over the pears.
  • Scatter the mixed berries and chopped walnuts around and on top of the pears.
  • Sprinkle the crumbled blue cheese over the pears.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pears are tender.

Serving

  • Serve warm as a dessert or side dish, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C).
