Ingredients
  

Brownie Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado mashed until smooth
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.5 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 0.25 cup almond flour
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.33 cup dark chocolate chips plus extra for topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8x8-inch baking pan.
  • In a bowl, mash the avocado until smooth. Whisk in eggs, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Add cocoa powder, almond flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips, reserving a few to sprinkle on top.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips.
  • Bake for 22–26 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

To make vegan, replace eggs with flax eggs. For nut-free, use oat flour instead of almond flour. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
