Ingredients
  

Main Wrap

  • 1 8-inch whole wheat tortilla
  • 2 oz sliced cooked turkey or chicken Use a school-safe alternative if needed.
  • 1 oz sliced cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp cream cheese Helps hold the wrap together.
  • ¼ cup shredded lettuce Pat dry before adding.

Fruit and Vegetables

  • ½ cup apple slices or seedless grapes Choose fruit that travels well.
  • ½ cup cucumber slices, bell pepper strips, or baby carrots

Crunchy Side

  • ½ cup whole grain crackers or pretzels Pack separately to keep them crisp.

Optional Extra

  • ¼ cup plain yogurt or hummus Pack in a tightly sealed container and keep chilled.

Instructions
 

  • Lay the tortilla flat and spread the cream cheese evenly over the surface, leaving a small border around the edge.
  • Layer the turkey or chicken, cheese, and dry shredded lettuce over the tortilla. Roll it up tightly, then slice into pinwheels or leave whole.
  • Place the wrap in the lunch box. Add the fruit and vegetables in separate compartments or small sealed containers.
  • Pack crackers or pretzels in a dry compartment so they remain crisp until lunchtime.
  • If using yogurt, hummus, cheese, poultry, or another perishable ingredient, place a frozen ice pack inside an insulated lunch bag to keep the food cold until noon.
  • Keep the packed lunch refrigerated until it is time to leave for school whenever possible.
